Boom!

Yesterday, 3 Cemerlang had PEKA (which is super important for our PMR). Yesterday, Pn Jey had 3G do the same experiment before us. Yesterday, 3G managed to concoct an explosion, break a test tube or two, and also managed to get Chester's whole arm swollen and burnt. Hmm, speaking of burnt, Michelle's hands got in the way of the Bunsen burner (ooooouuuuuchhhh). Anyway, the experiment was pretty cool. Despite the heat of 16 Bunsen burners going on at the same time, which made the us sweat like cows (if cows sweat), and the fans were off, so they weren't much of a help. Refer to Chapter 6 in the Science textbook, page 106 and 107. 'The glass wool, is not ordinary wool, so don't you ever touch it,' Goes Pn Jey. 'It is really made of glass, so if you touch it, the glass is so fine, it'll go straight to your blood stream. So use the forceps and some brains. Don't play with the Bunsen burners (each group needed two) and please don't mix the potassium manganate (Vll) with the metals. 3G already tried that... (here she goes on about the 3G incidents) So, pick your group leaders. Group leaders stand up.' My group exchanged glances. 'Not me,' I said. 'Kai Sein...' chipped Bryant. 'Come on Kai Sein, go on,' Syaira goes. The poor guy has no where to turn. He's cornered. Slowly, he stands up. 'Ok,' said Pn Jey, seemingly satisfied. 'Sit down.'

Then, she goes on about the details, while I murmured to our newly elected leader. 'If anything goes wrong, you kena. *laughs softly* At least its not me again.' I almost let out a laughed aloud at the look on his dismayed face! Unfortunately (or is it fortunately? hmm), our experiments went smoothly. Except the aluminium that failed to burn out, all of it was a success. I very much like the reaction of zinc. It gives a bright, yellow glow and spreads from the source like mist. But like the others, in a moment, it vanished. We were all like children eyeing candy for the first time. Everybody went 'Whoa.......'

After that was Art. Previously, we never had a teacher, so we stayed in class and just kicked up and relax, or do some homework, or chat, or read story books, or play football in class (its the guys, i swear), or start throwing a few paper balls around. But today, 'Class! Go Art room!' God forbid the person who said it. That marked the end to our mini holiday. And while there, (golly, i can't remember the teachers name) she asked us to draw.... mushrooms. It was like being transported back to primary school. Where we drew fish (which we did) and trees with absolutely no artistic intelligence. Same thing here.
